The best boxes for moving are from book stores! Since you can’t put dirty and torn books on a bookshelf, the boxes need to be strong and clean! Remember that books are paper. They are easily damaged so these bookstore boxes will be waterproofed.

When you seal these boxes they will give your belongings the best protection possible. Clothing stores and department stores will also be a great source for used boxes.  5 Movers doesn’t recommend using boxes from supermarkets or liquor stores. Most of the time they are not clean. Liquor stores cut the lids off the boxes and the boxes can not be sealed.

5 Movers recommends 2 sizes of boxes for most of your moving needs. These are what we call small and medium size boxes. Use small boxes for any of your breakable or heavy items and medium size boxes for everything else. Remember never to pack heavy items into large used moving boxes.
