Utah is wealthy in natural resources. It has long been a major supplier of copper, gold, zinc, lead and molybdenum. There are also oil reserves in Utah. It shares rich oil shale deposits with Colorado and Wyoming. There are also large deposits of low sulfur coal.
Farmers in Utah produce cattle, calves, hogs, dairy products and hay.
