It is not easy to leave that trusted car behind! The challenge is greater
when the car in question is a collectors item or a specialty car.
Here are some important things to consider before shipping your car cross country or overseas.
Timing:
Consider the timing needed for your move. You must allow 4-6 weeks transit time if you would like to have your car waiting for you when you reach your destination.
Insurance:
We recommend that you insure your car prior to its long distance or overseas shipping. When the auto shipper will arrive to pick up your car, you will have to sign a bill of lading on which any damages to the car will be clearly marked. A check of the car will also be conducted upon arrival at the destination. This is to asess any damage that might have accured in transit.
Personal Items:
Be sure that the car is empty of all personal items before it is loaded on the car carrier. Your car transport company will not be responsible for any personal items left behind in the car.
Delivery:
Make sure that you or an authorized party are available to receive your car. If not, then your car will be stored in a secure storage facility where you will be able to pick it up at a more convenient time.
